Huawei has been producing some impressive devices as of late, like the Ascend D2 and Ascend Mate, and it looks like another unannounced Android smartphone from the Ascend family will fit right in with that trend. Posted above is a leaked press shot of the upcoming Ascend P2. Evleaks has a reliable track record when it comes to leaks, so the image is likely the real deal, but the tipster also mentions some specs that conflict with previous rumors. Here are the details that line up: K3V2 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel camera, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Where it gets a little confusing is the device’s display size and resolution. Today’s leak mentions a 4.5-inch 1080p full HD display while just last week we heard it would have a 5-inch 720p HD IPS screen. Perhaps, it’s a mix of the two reports: a 5-inch 1080p FHD Super IPS LCD display, which would match the panel on the Ascend D2. In any case, we’ll likely hear more about this one before it debuts at MWC 2013 in late February.

Hands on with the Ascend D2 and Mate:
