Photile Live Wallpaper, by Joko Interactive, is a new live wallpaper for Android that allows you to take an image and turn it into a mosaic with animated tiles and special effects. You can customize the tile size, gap, background, and also add touch interactions to them. The wallpaper basically gives you the ability to turn a boring image into something with more personality. You can find Photile Live Wallpaper in the Android Market for free, so it’s definitely worth a look. Check out our video review below to see it in action.

I love “Slow Day” effect. So can it be a qHD live wallpaper, or does it automatically convert the image to WVGA?

That’s a good effect. I’m not sure how this works with qHD since I only have WVGA devices. It’s free, so it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. If you do try it, please let us know how it goes for you with qHD resolution.

Oh it works on the Atrix -I don’t have one but other who do confirmed it does. I was just wondering if this is another WVGA Live Wallpaper that stretches out to fill a qHD screen, or if it doesn’t lead to a loss of resolution on a qHD wallpaper. Do you know the official website of the developer?

Just wanted to let you know this is -in fact, the first qHD live wallpaper. The dev told me “Photile takes any image as input and stretches or shrinks it to ‘wrap’ your screen. So the final image should be the best quality possible on whichever screen it’s running on.”
