Oppo Unveils Find 5 Android Smartphone with 5-inch 1080p Display, Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad-Core Processor

December 12, 2012

Today, at “The Fifth Element” launch event, Oppo unveiled the Find 5 Android smartphone. The Oppo Find 5 features a 5-nich 1080p Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 441ppi, Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor (same as HTC Droid DNA), 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable), 2GB of RAM, a 2500mAh battery, 13 megapixel rear camera and 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. Oppo claims it’s the world’s first handset with hardware supported HDR photography and video recording. The highly touted camera also has the capability to record video at 120 FPS, which is good for five times the speed that the human eye can perceive. Furthermore, the camera can take up to 100 photos at five per second in Burst Mode. The camera and camcorder features certainly sound impressive on paper, but we’re not sure how all that translates to actual use. To round out the specs, the Find 5 supports NFC, WiFi display, DLNA sharing, and it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Oppo Find 5 will be available in early 2013 in select markets across the globe.
